Why I do what I do

I started in the Financial Planning industry in 1994 as an administration assistant and soon became curious about all things Financial.  Having an inquisitive nature, I wanted to understand what was in the Financial Plans that I was preparing for the Financial Advisers.  Soon after, I commenced my studies, at which the only pure financial planning course available back then was the Diploma of Financial Planning.  I found it so interesting and soon became very focused on working my way to becoming an Adviser.  I spent many years in Paraplanning roles whilst my kids were young, so I could work part-time, but the goal was always to become an Adviser, which I reached in 2013.

I see my role as a Financial Adviser (Private Client Specialist) to guide and educate my clients about how to best manage their finances and get the most out of their money.  The majority of my experience has been in pre and post-retirement planning and working with clients on an ongoing basis to achieve their goals.   Through my past experience, I understand the challenges both emotionally and financially that clients face when preparing or entering retirement.

A few things about me:

I am loving this chapter of my life which is now filled with seven kids and eight beautiful grandkids!  They are my sunshine and bring so much fun and laughter to my life.

Another great passion I share with my husband is to explore the world.  Whilst we have been to a few different countries and visited the major tourist attractions, our next adventure will be to find some hidden treasures off the beaten track to experience local culture and authentic food.  My late father was born in Croatia and my mother was born in Holland so they are next on the list!
